Wedding Celebrations
We met in Australia in 2013. Jennifer got stranded in an airport late at night and only one hostel had room for her to stay. When Jennifer arrived in the hostel Mark was the first person she met and carried my case up the stairs for her. About two weeks later Mark collected Jennifer from work and they have been together since. Together they pair have daughter Chloe in 2014 and son Kyle in 2016.
The Proposal
In August 2020 we went on a family staycation to Sneem in Kerry. I was getting ready and when I came into the room Mark was on one knee with the kids beside him playing our song (Christy Moore the Voyage). I was in complete shock and told Mark to stop messing! The kids kept saying “say yes, say yes”. It was perfect and private with just our little family. We finished off the evening with a lovely meal.

The Big Day
We had such an amazing day from start to finish. We had an intimate wedding with our close family and friends. We had our ceremony in the Osprey carried out by Dave from Ceremonies for All, who was brilliant. The ceremony was beautiful and our singer Alison Sweeney was unreal. Everything about the day was everything we wanted it to be: amazing food, incredible music and great atmosphere. Everyone was dancing all night and it just felt like old times especially after the last couple of years!
Catherine was a god send and took all the stress away from the planning wedding and guided us through everything, we would have been lost without her! The staff on the day couldn’t do enough for us. It was such an amazing day and night we wish we could do it all over again!
Why Did You Choose The Osprey Hotel?
We have always loved the Osprey and in fact it was the first hotel we stayed in together as a couple! We had been to view a few other venues before we had our viewing at the Osprey and there was something missing. As soon as we walked into the ballroom we knew it was exactly what we were looking for. The room is so spacious and has everything that we wanted for the day. The new ballroom is stunning! The staff have always been amazing

Post Wedding Celebrations
We had a lovely morning the next day as all of our guests stayed the night before and we were able to see everyone before they left. We headed home that day and spent it relaxing with the kids.
