Accessibility Statement
General Statement
At Osprey Hotel, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to continuously improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to achieve this goal.
Our aim is to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA wherever feasible, and to make ongoing improvements based on user feedback and evolving best practices. We regularly test our website using automated tools and manual checks to ensure content is clear and navigable, providing staff training and accessibility awareness.
Accessibility Assessment Approach
We use a blended approach to assess accessibility, combining an expert audit by accessibility consultants Vially, internal manual reviews and automated testing tools. This ensures a thorough and reliable evaluation of our website’s accessibility. The assessment was performed using a range of tools including Chrome, NVDA screen reader, manual testing and keyboard only navigation testing.
Browser and Technology Compatibility
Our website is designed to be compatible with the latest versions of commonly used browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari.
We aim to support accessibility features across desktop and mobile devices and ensure compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies, such as screen readers and screen magnifiers.
For the best experience, we recommend using the most up-to-date version of your browser and operating system. Older browsers or technologies may not support all accessibility features of our website.
Compliance Status
When we publish information on this website, we will try to
- Use plain English (except for academic or scientific words that do not have an alternative)
- Structure content well
- Explain acronyms
- Use short sentences
- Write good link text
- Make images and videos accessible
- Ensure new features work on assistive technologies
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the website may not yet meet the required standards, therefore this website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, due to the non-compliance and the exemptions listed below.
PDF AccessibilityÂ
Some of the PDF documents available on our website may not fully meet accessibility standards. Common issues include missing text alternatives, incorrect reading order, or lack of tagging that prevents effective use with screen readers. We recognise that PDFs can present significant barriers for users relying on assistive technologies and are working to improve these documents by converting essential content into accessible web pages or providing alternative formats upon request. If you need help accessing any document, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist.
Links and Call To Action Buttons
We acknowledge that some of our call-to-action buttons, such as ‘Click Here’ or ‘Read More’ may not yet provide enough context for screen reader users or those navigating without a mouse. We’re currently reviewing and updating these to ensure they are more descriptive and accessible for all users.
Gallery Accessibility Limitation
We acknowledge that the image galleries on our website currently do not meet full accessibility standards, particularly for users relying on screen readers or keyboard navigation. This limitation is due to constraints within the Elementor page builder, which does not yet support fully accessible gallery functionality. We are actively monitoring updates from Elementor and exploring alternative solutions to improve the accessibility of our visual content.
Video Accessibility
We are aware that some of the videos on our website that include spoken dialogue or music do not yet have captions or transcripts available. We understand the importance of making video content accessible to all users, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing, and we are actively working to provide captions for all relevant media.
Third-Party Software and Accessibility
Our website uses a number of third-party tools and widgets to provide services such as live chat support, reservations, enquiry submissions and personalisation.
While we strive to choose providers that align with accessibility best practices, we acknowledge that some of these third-party tools may not fully meet accessibility guidelines. This may affect how well they function for users of screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technologies.

We are committed to making our website accessible to everyone.
