4 Night Stay
Day 1
After a long morning of travel, the first thing you’ll want to do is refuel when you arrive at Osprey Hotel. Check-in time is 4pm, but if you arrive early, head to The Barista Bar in our reception area and serving freshly brewed tea and coffee, scones and other delicious treats. Settle in to your spacious family room, choose where everyone will sleep and head down to our bar from 12 noon to enjoy a tasty filling lunch. We have excellent all day dining options for adults and special meals for children from our kid’s menu.
For your first afternoon in Kildare, give your little ones exactly what they want from a family holiday – fun! Take a trip to the Jungle Den, a state of the art indoor soft play facility for children from ages 1 – 12 years. They offer a range of play types from music and messy play to free play in their safe soft play zone.Â
After a long day of travel and excitement, relax and unwind in our bar, enjoying our casual dining menu and a nightcap. Retire to your spacious, family-sized room for a great nights sleep before another day packed with adventures.

Day 2
Start your first full day in Kildare early with a truly delicious and filling breakfast in Osprey Hotel. Make sure you’re all well fueled for a fun-packed day ahead.
Pack up the car with snacks and essentials and head out to Emerald Park in Co. Meath, less than 40-minutes’ drive from our Kildare Hotel. This exciting amusement and theme park is bound to thrill and entertain your whole family, with over 100 attractions on-site. They have a dedicated junior zone with plenty of activities for the smaller kids and thrilling adventure activities like zip-lining and a rollercoaster for your older daredevils. They have an on-site zoo with a range of wildlife like farmyard animals, birds and some of the most exotic monkeys, big cats and other mammals you have no chance of finding in the wilds of Ireland. They have everything you need for an excellent family day out with amusements and rides, a steam train and plenty of opportunities to refresh and refuel on-site.
We promise after a day in Emerald Park, your little ones will be exhausted. Instead of dressing for dinner, you can order room service from our extensive a la carte adults or kid’s menus. You can choose individual meals or order a pizza or a large bowl of nachos to share. Adults can also order themselves a nightcap or two to fully relax and enjoy a quiet evening in Osprey Hotel.

Day 3
Start the following day at a leisurely pace, enjoying a late breakfast in Osprey Hotel, exploring some of our various breakfast options.
Once you’ve eaten your fill, head back to your room and change into your swimming gear for an afternoon in Osprey Leisure Centre. Visit our state of the art swimming pool, sauna and steam room for an afternoon of relaxation and enjoyment for the whole family. Our dedicated kids pool is open from 9am-7pm daily (9am-6pm on Bank Holidays) for a safer, quieter experience for younger children. Adults can also enjoy some R&R after a busy few days by booking a luxurious spa treatment from our team of talented therapists, in our recently refurbished Osprey Spa. We offer everything from massage and facials to beauty treatments leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed. It is your holiday too after all!
After a morning of swimming and relaxation, you can fill your afternoon with a trip to the cinema. Liffey Valley shopping centre has an abundance of shops and restaurants to choose from and is just 30 minutes’ drive from our Kildare hotel They also have a state of the art, multiscreen Imax cinema on site, showing the very best in adults and children’s blockbusters. If you want to stay close to your home from home, our local cinema is in Naas, less than 10-minutes in the car.
This is a perfect day in Kildare if the rain has put a stop to any outdoor plans you may have. Just because its wet out doesn’t mean you can’t have fun!
End a perfect day with a perfect dinner in Herald & Devoy, our on-site stylish restaurant. Book your table in advance to avoid delays and make sure we can accommodate your family as comfortably as possible. Adults have a large a la carte menu to choose from with options ranging from tasty burgers and steaks to healthy but delicious salads and vegan meals. Kids can choose for themselves from the Kid’s Corner menu with all of their favourites and a range of yummy desserts to finish.

Day 4
Begin your last full day in Kildare with an early breakfast. There are breakfast options for the entire family, ranging from a simple bowl of cereal to a full-Irish and everything in between. We can cater to dietary requirements (and fussy eaters!) with a bit of notice. All of our meat and produce is quality assured and locally sourced by our exacting kitchen staff. Wash it all down with a hot cup of tea or a steaming cup of coffee to start your day well.
Today is the day for a big adventure, heading out to the Blessington Lakes, just 20-minutes from Osprey Hotel Kildare. The area known as the Blessington Lakes or the Poulaphouca Reservoir covers 5000 acres of water and are an ideal spot for a family hike and a picnic. Walk the popular Blessington Greenway, visit nearby Russborough House and its interactive exhibition or enjoy a paddle on the lake. You can also detour to Glendalough, one of the most significant historic sites in Ireland. Make a visit to Blessington a highlight of your family holiday this year.
If you’re not completely exhausted after your trip to Blessington, pop into a Kildare gem on your way home, The National Stud and Japanese Gardens. This educational and exciting afternoon out is great for the whole family, with heritage and cultural sites and gardens to explore and a playground to truly tire out your little ones.

Day 5
Relax and enjoy a leisurely morning on your last day in Kildare, enjoying a late breakfast and a rest in your room. Head down to the Osprey Leisure Centre for one last swim to work up an appetite before you check out. Our lunch menu in the bar is served from 12 noon to 3pm and will set you up nicely for the journey home. You could also pick up a bite from the Barista Bar.
End your family holiday on a high by dropping into Abbeyfield Farm & Equestrian Centre on the way home. It’s a great day out, especially for older kids who can enjoy a range of activities including Clay Pigeon Shooting, Horse Riding, Horse Livery, Archery and an Air Rifle Range. The little ones can enjoy an afternoon getting to know the horses and learning how to ride. They are located just 15-minutes’ drive from the hotel in the beautiful countryside of Clane and are a perfect place for an exciting and educational afternoon.
