2 Day Stay
Day 1
Check in to Osprey Hotel is 3pm but if you arrive early, make sure to take advantage of the Barista Bar & refuel with a freshly brewed coffee and a sweet treat before settling into your comfortable bedroom. If you’ve travelled a long way, you might need a more substantial meal and luckily our all-day dining menu starts at 3pm in the bar.
It might be tempting to relax in your luxurious bedroom for the afternoon but you should head out to explore the best of the local area. Take an afternoon trip to a Kildare gem, the National Stud and Japanese Gardens, just 15-minutes’ drive from Osprey Hotel. The National Stud is a dream for anyone interested in horses, equestrians or livery and is a fun day out for families, couples and groups. Within the grounds of the stud are the Japanese Gardens. This beautiful space is a perfect balance of Eastern and Western Cultures and imagery and a haven of tranquility among the otherwise bustling area. It’s a not so hidden gem and a must-see when visiting Kildare.
When you return to your home from home, change into your swimming wear and stroll down to the Osprey Leisure Club for an evening swim. Our state of the art pool, gym and thermal suites are perfect for all visitors, whether you want to squeeze in a bit of exercise, lounge in the heated pool or truly unwind in our newly refurbished thermal suite.
After a long day of travel and exploration, spend your first evening in Osprey Hotel enjoying room service directly to your door. You can order from our extensive restaurant and bar menus which offer something for all tastes. You could also order a pizza or a large bowl of nachos to share. You can also order a nightcap or two; you are on holidays after all!

Day 2
Start your first full day in Kildare early with a hearty breakfast in Osprey Hotel, a perfect way to fuel a busy day. Hit the road early heading out to popular shopping destination, Kildare Village. Spend the morning searching for bargains and taking advantage of the great discounts on designer goods. You’ll find 60+ stylish boutiques and brand name stores offering up to 60% discount on high street prices. After a busy morning bustling around Kildare Village, get back to nature in the afternoon with a forest walk in the beautiful Donadea Forest Park. They have three gorgeous forest trail walks to follow, suitable for all ages and abilities and along the way you can witness the beauty of the local flora and fauna that surrounds you. You can also explore the remains of Donadea Castle and Estate, the walled gardens, St. Peter’s church, an ice house and boat house and admire the ducks on the small lake. It’s an ideal spot for a family or romantic picnic.
If you’re not totally exhausted after a day of shopping and exploring, or the weather is too bad for an outdoor walk, head to nearby Liffey Valley for some more retail therapy or to visit their state of the art, multi-screen IMax cinema. They show all of the latest blockbusters and have some great snack options in the lobby! For a cinema closer to home, head to the local Odeon Cinema in nearby Naas.
Head back to your home from home, freshen up and join us in Herald and Devoy for a delicious, freshly prepared meal. We have a great range of meal options from sumptuous steaks and burgers to healthier options – salad or vegan meals, all served in the stylish surroundings of our newly renovated restaurant. Stick around for a nightcap from our extensive bar menu or a bespoke cocktail made to your taste.

Day 3
Wake up happy after a busy day exploring and enjoy a leisurely breakfast in Osprey Hotel. We have a range of breakfast options to suit all tastes from a simple bowl of cereal to a Full Irish Breakfast and everything in between. Spoil yourself with some freshly prepared pancakes or waffles served to your table with a selection of toppings, keeping you well fueled for the day.
Late morning, take a trip to the world-renowned Newbridge Silver, designer and producer of remarkable jewellery and giftware. Enjoy a visit to the visitor centre where you can learn more about the production of these gorgeous pieces and visit the fashion museum. Make sure to visit the gift shop to pick up a memento of a time well spent in Kildare.
If you’re lucky enough to be here over a weekend, visit the renowned Naas Farmers Market to stick up on delicious Irish food and produce you won’t find anywhere else. Our local market was even featured in the Bridgestone Irish Food Guide! The market is open every Saturday between 10am to 3pm and it is worth dropping in on your way home.
