Clonmel native, Michael Boyle has been appointed as GM of the PREM Group owned, Osprey Hotel, in Naas, Co. Kildare. The four-star hotel is well known as both a business and leisure hotel and has undergone a lot of renovations in the past 18 months including the complete upgrade of its ballroom and conferencing facility.
Michael has almost 20 years’ experience in hospitality and has worked with some well-known properties during the course of his career including the Dalata Hotel Group, Sheen Falls Lodge, The Killarney Park, The Horse and Jockey Hotel, The Anner Hotel and the Gold Coast Golf Resort in Dungarvan to mention but a few. He took up his first GM role at the age of 27 when he was appointed as General Manager of the Clonmel Park Hotel, a role he remained in for over 6 years.
Michael has a proven track record in leadership and commercial development and has overseen the implementation of various systems which allowed for better customer experiences while maximising revenue and keeping costs under control. A graduate of GMIT Hotel and Catering Management, Michael has a passion for hospitality and is a self-professed ‘foodie’. He will now oversee the next renovation project at the hotel which will see the former night club, Time: Bar + Venue being transformed into a high tech and modern office hub. The new virtual and hybrid office hub will have hot desks and office space to rent, and will be available in the coming weeks.
Osprey Hotel comprises of a four-star hotel, ballroom, conference centre, Osprey Leisure Club and swimming pool and the magnificent 10,000 sq ft Osprey Spa. There is also a superb bistro style restaurant, Herald & Devoy and a bar which serves food all day long.
