Visit Santa in Naas
Kildare’s favourite Santa experience is back in Palmerstown House Estate. Hop on board Santa’s House Express magical train ride taking you all the way to meet the big man himself with your whole family. You’ll decorate cookies with Mrs Claus and have lots of fun with the Elves in Santa’s beautiful Country Manor. Each child will get an age-appropriate gift from Santa, the perfect memento from a very special day. There will be winter warmers for the grown-ups, and you can enjoy some time at the Winter Wonderland village complete with a festive funfair and food trucks. There are plenty of opportunities for family photos in this magical festive setting, ideal for next year’s Christmas card! Panto in Kildare
We may not have the selection of theatres that Dublin has but even more heart, talent and dedication go into our local panto in Moat Theatre. You won’t have far to walk from our hotel in Naas to the theatre, which is just 10 minutes through town. This year, for the 36th time, our local theatre is hosting our community panto, this time a festive take on Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Join Goldie as she stumbles across the three bears’ house and find out if she will make three new friends or will they eat her just like their porridge? The show promises plenty of energy, music, dancing, great sets and lots of fun. Tickets are €15 for adults or €50 for a family of four.
Kildare Christmas Village
If your family is more into fashion than family fun, bring your teens to Kildare Christmas Village. The always beautiful Kildare Outlet is transformed into a magical wonderland with Christmas lights, luxurious decorations, and family fun. They release a festive programme each year which usually includes activities for children, Santa visits and carol singing. As usual, you’ll find plenty of bargains on designer goods from over 10 luxury shopping boutiques. There are great places to eat too like Sprout, Butlers, Dunne & Crescenzi and Burger Boy.
