With Christmas fast approaching we don’t have much time left to shop. Whether you are the type of person to have wrapped presents under the tree in November or a last minute Christmas Eve panic buyer, there are a variety of shopping options for Christmas shopping in Kildare.
Christmas Presents
Kildare Village outlets are open all year round and they offer discounts on everything from designer clothes to decorations. There are over 95 shops to choose from so even if you don’t have a plan in mind you can go to browse and be inspired. The beautifully decorated outlet village is less than 20 minutes in the car from the Osprey Hotel, so you don’t have to go too far to get your discount shopping done. Whitewater Shopping Centre is 20-minutes in the other direction and boasts just shy of 80 shops including Carraig Donn, Oasis, and Dune. If you get tired of shopping the centre has plenty of eateries for you to rest, refuel and keep going. The shopping centre also has a special guest from 18th November until 24th December. Santa himself will be visiting and is free for all to visit; he just requests that you make a donation to the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Christmas trees
You can visit Kellehers Christmas Tree Farm in Naas and choose from a variety of trees in different shapes and sizes, to make sure you get your ideal tree. They will even cut your chosen tree right in front of you, pack it up and strap it to your car. You can also have trees delivered if it’s more convenient. The farmers work hard all year round to ensure your Christmas tree is perfect for you.
Christmas lights
Not everyone is happy with a pack of fairy lights on the tree from the local shop; some people like to decorate their homes from roof to garden. The Christmas Lighting Company have lights of all shapes and sizes and although they do specialise in commercial projects they also offer smaller displays for homes and even light up artificial trees.
