Wedding Celebrations
Anita and Anthony (also known as Anto) met online and have been together for 11 years. Residing together in Meath, Anita is orginally from Kildare, so having her wedding at Osprey the perfect decision.
The Proposal
We were sitting on the couch and he handed me the phone and told me to pick a ring. After 10 years together we knew full well that neither of us were going anywhere. Not like in the movies but very us.

Something Old, Something New
We’re not normal tradition type of people, we tend to make our own tradition such as having a white rose and soil from both our parents garden as part of our ceremony.
Why Did You Choose The Osprey Hotel?
We had visited a few different locations but when we saw an ad for The Osprey Wedding Fair we decided to take a look. A lot of locations would not speak to us as our numbers were small. 25 for meal and 40-50 evening guests, but that wasn’t an issue at all. We spoke with Catherine on that day, and she was so lovely and helpful, we just knew that was where we wanted to get married. Nothing was a problem, and they just understood the day we wanted. The months leading up the wedding, the team were constantly in contact and as the day drew closer, we had meetings with wedding coordinator Kathryn and we just knew the day was going to be perfect.
The Big Day & Beyond
Our day was perfect from start to finish. My sister, two nieces and I stayed in the hotel the night before and got our hair and make-up done in the room. Kathryn, our wedding coordinator was out on her own. She could not have done more for us. From ensuring we had everything in the room that was needed to escorting us to the wedding car. She was fantastic. The food was amazing and Martina who took care of us for the evening part of the day was fantastic. Everyone single one of our guests complimented the staff, the hotel, the rooms and the food. Brid on reception was so helpful and friendly, my nieces are still taking about how lovely she was. The Osprey should be so proud of the team they have representing them. We had a fabulous night dancing to the amazing DJ Martin from Livewire who had everyone on the dance floor and when the music stopped, we stayed up chatting to friends and family in the residence bar. The following morning, we had a fantastic breakfast in the hotel and reminisced of a great night. Everyone headed home and had a well-earned rest.
