3 Day Stay
Day 1
Start your time in Kildare by checking into your luxurious bedroom, settling in and enjoying a takeaway coffee and sweet treat from the Barista Bar in the lobby. If you’ve travelling a long way, you might need something more substantial so our all-day dining menu is served in the bar or Coffee Dock.
It might be tempting to spend the afternoon relaxing in your spacious comfortable bedroom but you should head out and explore the local area. Just 15-minutes from our Kildare Hotel is Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre, displaying and selling some of the most beautiful jewellery and giftware in the country. You can learn more about how these gorgeous pieces are made and visit the fasinating fashion museum with some of the finest outfits worn by both Irish and international stars. Don’t forget to visit the gift shop to pick up a memento of a time well spent.
After a long day of travel and discovery, join us in Herald & Devoy for a delicious meal, freshly prepared by our talented team of chefs. We offer something for everyone with menu options ranging from sumptuous steaks and burgers to the healthier option like salad and vegan meals. Stick around for a nightcap in the bar before retiring to your luxurious bedroom.

Day 2
Start your first full day in Kildare early with a delicious breakfast in Osprey Hotel. With menu options to suit all tastes and appetites, a hearty breakfast will keep you well-fueled for an adventure packed day.
Start your day off by soaking up the beauty of the Kildare countryside that surrounds us with a trip to Donadea Forest Park. Pack a light lunch and head out to enjoy one of the three forest trails within the park, suitable for all ages and abilities. Enjoy the local flora and fauna that surround you and explore the remains of Donadea Castle and Estate. You can also visit the walled garden, St. Peter’s church, an ice house and boat house and admire the ducks on the small lake.
If you haven’t seen enough of Kildare’s glorious outdoors, head down to the Grand Canal for a scenic walk. It’s a perfect romantic stroll to work up an appetite and enjoy some of the beauty spots along the way. Compliment your Grand Canal Walk with a barge trip to take you part of the way in style. The Grand Canal is purpose built for barges and there are some beautiful tours on traditional restored boats that can take you as far as you’d like to go. The barge is available for private hire or for groups any day of the week and has up to 6 scheduled cruise daily at weekends.
If you’re not fully exhausted after a day in the great outdoors, or mother nature has put a stop to your outdoor adventures, head to the nearby Liffey Valley for some retail therapy or to visit their cinema. Vue Cinema Liffey Valley is a top of the range, IMAX cinema showing the biggest and best blockbusters from around the world they also have a very impressive selection of cinema snacks in the lobby! For a cinema closer to home, visit our local Odeon Cinema in nearby Naas.
Finish off a perfect day in Kildare with a perfectly relaxing evening in your luxurious bedroom at Osprey Hotel. Another early start to beat the crowds today. Start by fueling up with a tasty breakfast in Osprey Hotel, choosing from our wide selection of breakfast options. You could eat breakfast here every day for a week and not eat the same thing twice! Whether you like a simple bowl of fruit and cereal, or indulge with a hearty full Irish, we have a breakfast option to suit you. Personally, we love the freshly prepared waffles and pancakes, delivered with a selection of toppings.
No trip to Kildare would be complete without a visit to the famous Kildare Village for some retail therapy. Explore the bustling shopping district and discover some of the 60+ retail outlets, including an array of unique boutiques and big brand names. They offer a huge 60% discount on high street prices on great brands such as Benefit, Nike and Tommy Hilfiger. If you’re lucky enough to be in Kildare over the weekend, another must-d is a trip to our local farmers market. Far from a quaint small-town market, Naas Farmers market stocks a huge range of local produce and artisan food and drink and was recommended by the renowned Bridgestone Irish Food Guide. The market is open every Saturday between 10am to 3pm.
It wouldn’t be a trip to Osprey Spa Hotel without a visit to the Spa, after all you are on holidays! Book an evening appointment with one of our talented therapists for a massage, facial, body scrub, beauty treatment or choose a combination package for a sample of everything. We use only the finest products and brands such as Dermalogica and Voya and tailor every treatment to you to ensure you are fully relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards. Finish off your treatment with a visit to our newly refurbished thermal suites.
Shower and refresh, taking your time to join us in Herald and Devoy Restaurant for a delicious evening meal. We have a full menu of delicious dinners, prepared with our signature Osprey care and attention to detail, served in the stylish surrounds of our newly refurbished restaurant. After dinner, retire to the bar to enjoy a drink from our extensive bar menu or a bespoke cocktail served to your liking.

Day 4
Start your last day in Osprey Hotel with a refreshing morning swim. We have a fully equipped gym, top of the range thermal suite, a 20-metre swimming pool, a deck level sauna and steam room and a hydro jet pool in our leisure club, all available free of charge for guests.
After an invigorating morning swim, join us for breakfast, taking your time and enjoying a leisurely last meal. Retire to your room for a mid-morning rest and to pack your bags for the trip home.
Before you leave Kildare’s it would be a shame not to see the jewel in our crown, The National Stud and Japanese Gardens. A true Kildare must-do, the National Stud is a great place to visit for lovers of anything equestrian, horses, animal care and livery. See for yourself some of the best horse stock in the world, raised in Kildare and sent across the world to compete. On the grounds of the Stud is the Japanese Gardens, a place for peace and tranquility. This perfectly manicured garden is a beautiful balance of Eastern and Western imagery and design and you can learn a lot about Japanese and Asian culture. It’s also a great place to take some pictures.
