Race back to The Osprey
Posted on 09 June 2015
The Punchestown Irish National Hunt Festival is one of the highlights of the Irish sporting and social calendar. The special combination of thrilling sporting action, delicious food and drink, brilliant live entertainment, family fun, dazzling glamour or casual comfort is unequalled thanks to the unique Punchestown Festival atmosphere that takes over Naas for the week.
The five day Festival, which kicks off on Tuesday 29th of April, is considered the grande finale of the jump season with top class horses, trainers and jockeys from both sides of the Irish sea converging on Kildare. The quality of racing is unrivalled with a total of 12 Grade 1 contests taking place so whether you’re standing by the rails shouting them on or enjoying the VIP lifestyle in your private box, you won’t want to miss a moment.
Gates will open from 12pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday and your day doesn’t have to end there - race back to the Osprey every evening where food will be served until late and the drinks will be flowing in our Statler Bar to ensure you finish off your day in style.
Friday the 2nd of May is Ladies Day and following on from the success of the past few years, the very talented Perfect Day Band will be performing live in the Ballroom at the Osprey Hotel from 9pm. Come along to soak up the atmosphere of what promises to be a great night.
The AES Family Day will conclude the five day festival and is one of Ireland’s largest family events. The first race kicks off at 2.30pm. With live music, pony rides, face painting, bouncy castles and a shopping village, there’s something for everyone.
